Trampled Blood (Hebrews 10:29)
Xristozo
Echoes from the ages rise
And call to us today
Saying now becomes tomorrow
There is no time to delay
Hear the saints who went before us
If they could look our way
What would they say of Christians
In this hour, in this day?
What warning would they give us
To the hearts that will not stay
Who hear the Savior pleading
Yet turn and drift away?
Hear the voice of Jesus calling
The One who cried in agony
With His final words, “It is finished”
On the cross of Calvary
Is it blood your feet will trample
Uncaring or unknowingly
Of sacred blood that pardoned
All the sins for you and me
The blood of Jesus trampled
Beneath feet uncaringly
You think, that this, God pardons
Counting the blood an unholy thing
never, never, may it be
oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh oh
For the wayward and unfaithful
Is the gospel just a game?
Do its words sound like a burden
Like a chain upon your name?
Do you chase your empty longings
And your castles built on sand?
Nothing there will last forever
Raised by stained and sinful hands
The sin you name as freedom
Cost His blood on Calvary
And the thing you keep on holding
Tramples mercy underneath your feet
Hear the voice of Jesus calling
The One who cried in agony
With His final words, “It is finished”
On the cross of Calvary
Is it blood your feet will trample
Uncaring or unknowingly
Of sacred blood that pardoned
All the sins for you and me
The blood of Jesus trampled
Beneath feet uncaringly
You think, that this, God pardons
Counting the blood an unholy thing
never, never, may it be
oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh oh
oh oh oh oh oh oh
There is mercy still awaiting
Don’t wait, don’t turn away
For the voice you hear now calling
May be only for today
If you have ears to hear Him
Don’t turn your head and walk away
There is mercy still awaiting
Don’t wait, don’t turn away
For the voice you hear now calling
May be only for today
