My father recently crossed the threshold of death and came back. God spoke to him and sent him back. Since then, eternity has never felt like a distant concept to me. This song was written from a place of love, concern, and hope for the people around us. Every person you pass on the street is more than a face in the crowd. They are a soul that matters.
There are moments when you look out at the world and see more than headlines, politics, failures, and divisions.

You see people.

People carrying burdens they were never meant to carry.
People searching for hope in places that can never satisfy.
People trying to find their way home.

"Standing in the Rain" was born from that perspective.
